Stone Island - Continuing the La Brea Renaissance

District LaBrea is the successful ongoing retrofit of a scattered collection of underutilized industrial buildings into a vibrant stretch of shopping and creative workplaces in Mid-City Los Angeles.

Studio One Eleven’s most recent project on LaBrea is the Stone Island building, housing the Italian fashion brand’s Los Angeles flagship (with interior tenant improvements by SPaCe Architects).

Replacing a parking lot at the corner of LaBrea and First Street, the new structure contains the 10,000 square feet Stone Island store and relocates the surface parking to the building’s rooftop. A stripped down aesthetic featuring large storefront windows and a corner entry tower emphasizes the brand’s edgy outerwear collection and contributes to the street’s understated urban vibe.

"There is a tremendous amount of residential and retail development occurring on La Brea spanning from Pico to Santa Monica Blvd. that will only help to grow the prime shopping district at the heart of it all... we'll see the area not only continue to thrive, but to grow into one of LA's most exciting and prominent corridors." - Greg Breist, JLL
