We are proud to welcome a local non-profit organization,
We are the Next, to our office.
We designed our new office to accommodate for special events, collaboration with non-profits and to provide gathering space for our community. Our mission from the beginning was to create an office where clients, friends, collaborators, and community members would be able to meet, work and gather. We’re happy to see our idea come to life and welcome Katie Rispoli Keaotamai and and her team at We Are the Next to our office. We look forward to further collaborating with them in the future and are excited by all they do for our community.

We Are the Next is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing social justice and youth development programs to teens and young adults in the Long Beach region. Their work focuses on sharing the stories of all peoples in our community - how they got here, where and how they’ve lived, and exploring pathways to move forward together to build civic engagement and demand equality. The organization maintains a mission to empower the next generation to engage with their city so their neighborhoods can thrive. They service the communities of Long Beach, Wilmington, and surrounding areas.
Considering the demographics and income levels of the students we service, we know it is statistically unlikely that they will move away from the Long Beach region. It is our reality that they will mature to become the next generation of local residents, employees, and property owners. In addition to these roles, we also need to ensure that they are the next generation of community advocates and voters. Through our programs which share the history, demographics, personal experiences, and governance of our city, we can empower a generation to build a meaningful connection with their community and the people who are a part of it.
In early 2017, Executive Director, Katie Rispoli Keaotamai, encountered a conflict with her former office location and was looking for a new office space. Katie has a long standing relationship with Alan Pullman and Michael Bohn, so she approached them to see if there was an opportunity for We Are the Next to work out of our office. We welcomed Katie and her team with open arms, and are excited by the collaboration and community support her team will offer our firm.
"We look forward to the opportunities and collaboration that are to follow as we make the move to this new creative environment. Thank you to Retail Design Collaborative and Studio One Eleven for allowing us this opportunity." - Katie Rispoli Keaotamai
