Studio One Eleven’s new workspace catalyzed significant reinvestment in a once-overlooked part of Downtown Long Beach. Project improvements included façade improvements for new retailers and restaurants, and the first distillery in Long Beach, all designed by Studio One Eleven.

Intended to encourage collaboration, innovation, and community, the office interiors include custom-designed workstations in an open environment. Scattered amid the workstations are free-standing conference rooms that delineate teams and provide project pin-up space. A mezzanine wraps the perimeter of the space, creating a “bridge walk” overlook with lounges, workspaces, and break-out rooms. The previous tenant’s loading dock has been converted into a private patio with a fire pit and an edible green vertical garden. The project became WELL Gold and LEED Platinum rated in 2017, only the second architectural office in the country to achieve both ratings.
