What is your favorite city you’ve traveled to?
Venice, Italy. It’s just the most unique place I’ve been yet. From taking a boat from the airport to hotel, to the meandering roads with the drama busy storefronts and dramatic churches. The moment you reach Piazza San Marcos, it’s beyond words, a place that must be experienced.

Who is someone that inspires you?
Rosa T. Sheng, FAIA, is someone who captivated me to become a leader a few years ago. She has a Ted Talk, a patent, a firm that calls her a Thought Leader, and she is someone who I can actually talk to for advice. She and others like her remind me to be the change; to set the example for others and help them along too.

Where did you go to school and what did you study?
I moved from Eugene to Pomona when I was 18 because I chose Cal Poly Pomona. I picked that program because I felt like I was more engineer than architect, and as it turned out, I was a better designer than I thought I could be.
