Studio One Eleven Honored with Four AIA Orange County Design Awards

Studio One Eleven received four awards at the 2026 AIA Orange County Design Awards Gala on September 29, 2026. Spanning affordable housing, sustainability, and historic preservation, the three winning projects reflect our belief that every neighborhood has the potential to be more livable, sustainable, and engaging.

Pointe Common: Honor Award and COTE/Decarbonization Award

Pointe Common transforms a former city Public Works yard in Fullerton into 65 affordable, all-electric homes for families, powered by an on-site solar array. The jury noted: “The design is forward thinking in so many ways-from form making that responds to site constraints, creating positive activation, to thoughtful residential scaled details.”

Long Beach Airport: Merit Award for Historic Preservation

At Long Beach Airport, our work blends preservation with the needs of today’s travelers to create an airport that is efficient, memorable, and rooted in place. The jury praised the project’s “proper restraint in honoring the existing building” and the way its landscape and architecture work together.

Partake Collective Glassell Park: Citation Award for Historic Preservation

Partake repurposes four underutilized buildings into a culinary hub for small, local, and craft food businesses. The jury highlighted the new connections between the buildings, which tie the site together as a campus. Reusing the existing structures reduced embodied carbon by more than 70% compared to new construction.

We’re grateful to AIA Orange County, the jury, and all the collaborators who helped bring these projects to life.
