Michael Bohn, AIA, Named 2025 Presidential Honoree by AIA Long Beach / South Bay

Studio One Eleven Partner Recognized for Design Excellence and Community Leadership

We’re proud to share thatone of our Partners Michael Bohn, AIA, has been selected as a 2025 Presidential Honoree by the AIA Long Beach / South Bay Chapter. This recognition, part of the annual Board of Directors Awards, honors individuals whose leadership and dedication have left a meaningful mark on the built environment and the architectural profession.

Over the course of his career, Michael has committed himself to shaping cities through community-centered design, with a focus on affordable housing, adaptive reuse, and the creation of vibrant public spaces. His work has helped define Downtown Long Beach’s evolution, always with an eye toward equity, sustainability, and inclusivity.

Michael also contributes significantly beyond the walls of our studio. He has served in volunteer leadership roles with AIA Long Beach / South Bay, AIA California, the Urban Land Institute, and Long Beach Heritage, where his advocacy continues to influence policy and practice around housing, preservation, and urban development.

His recognition is well-earned and reflects the values we hold at Studio One Eleven: that good design can drive positive change in cities and communities.

On May 15 we will celebrate Michael’s ongoing impact and leadership. We look forward to recognizing his contributions alongside peers, collaborators, and community members.

Congratulations, Michael.
