What We Did
Serving as a catalyst for downtown, SteelCraft Bellflower offers a food hall and beer garden under a barn-inspired shade structure, utilizing repurposed shipping containers as the building shell.
The project design evokes the city’s strong dairy roots and includes a large performance stage and vertical surface to project movies. Located in the heart of the city’s downtown, this SteelCraft location has become a key anchor for attracting visitors resulting in further public investment in the core. The urban eatery includes a curated collection of food, drink, and dessert offerings.
Since its opening in early summer 2019, Steelcraft has already contributed to the revitalization of Bellflower, averaging 1,500 customers daily and doubling the amount of visitors to the downtown area. Other features such as the tot lot and retro game arcades have also been a success in allowing parents to relax and mingle while children are safely entertained and within view.
“Located in downtown Bellflower, the space has a sophisticated and artful vibe and is constructed around 14 rustic repurposed shipping containers and a pet-friendly courtyard. With big wooden benches and long picnic tables, SteelCraft has opened just in time for sunny outdoor summer dinners and warm, breezy happy hours, with live music and community events to create a vibrant social setting.”
